Great ride this past Saturday. The NN100 TT was cancelled because of road works which was a bit rubbish, but we still used the hall HQ for a Tri-Anglia club training day.
I did 5, 21mile loops, so 105mile total of a course we set up. Time was 5:51:28 at an average of 18mph. It was a triangle loop with two sides having a 20mph headwind so I was really pleased with how I went.

Sundays long run was a bit of a struggle mind but just been out and ran 7.5miles with 2x20min tempo and felt great.
Really starting to feel that its coming together now. Frankfurt 6 weeks on Sunday and I getting stronger.

12th May 2015 - Monster Mojo
I entered the Mojo as an early season blow out. Thought it would give me confidence going into the peak weeks training. However it's done the opposite and I now feel quite deflated after a really poor all round performance.
Got there on Saturday and stalled Albert. Albert then decided not to re-start giving me a sleepless night about the breakdown. 1-2hrs sleep - not ideal prep for a half.
5am start and into transition.
Swim I clocked this at a couple of hundred metres long as did everyone else. Didn't feel particularly good but not a disaster. Slow 39:39
T1 was slow as I put on arm warmers but still can't account for 4:39
Bike was a lot hillier than expected. Also very cold frozen feet job. Wind got up as the race progressed. I was averaging low 18's until I dropped the chain on a climb. Had to dismount and fix it. I pushed bit hard for 10mile but in reality I can't blame this. I just felt lethargic throughout. 2:53:56 for 51.2miles. Only 17.7mph average.
T2 again slow as I had to strip off the layers. 2:50
Run. Started okay but elastic lace came out of shoe. Slopped to fix. Felt knackered after a couple of miles and had to really push to hold a slow pace. Hot and windy. Ended running close to 10min/mile pace. 1:54:54 for 12.2miles. Last year I ran 1:44 at the Viking. Same distance.
Just didn't have it today. On the plus side the van was only a fuse and I got home by 4!!
